October 19, 2022 Montgomery, Alabama : With the top 2 Impact Zone Photos Outlaw Drivers tied going into October-Fast weekend the stage was set for an epic battle between #3 Chad Chaffin and #96 John Heil.
Bama Budweiser qualifying saw both drivers at the top of the charts with Chaffin leading the way at 20.052 on the famed 1/2 mile oval. Heil had a great lap but came up a little short at 20.099

The Impact Zone Photos outlaw feature took a little to get the race started as a 1st lap crash brought out the caution and sent the #5 car of JC Cleckler, the #1r of Mikall Rawls and the #8 of Harrelson to pit road after piling up in turn 4. All but the #5 returned to action. On the ensuing restart #92 Cameron Henderson made contact with the backstretch wall and ended his night. Henderson was credited with leading the first lap. Once things got rolling again it was Chad Chaffin #3 taking the lead with John Heil #96 in pursuit. Heil ran the fastest lap of the race trying to catch the #3 but lapped traffic and a really good car gave Chaffin what he needed to win the race and secure the 2022 Impact Zone Photos Outlaw Championship.

The Night started with a make up race from August 8, 2022 for the Shelby Concrete Street Stock, at the drop of the green flag it was Keith Grace #81 taking the point and caution flew for fluid in turn 1. The second caution was displayed on the next restart when the motor expired on Cody Weavers #81 and the #6 car of Charles Davis ended up in the turn 1 wall. The race went back to green and saw the #48 of Hunter Evans take command of the race and the lead. #26 car piloted by Veteran short track driver Billy Melvin was right on his tail and filled the rear-view mirror of the #48 and put on a show for the fans. At the finish it was the #48 of Evans in 1st #26 of Melvin 2nd and #1 Daniel Jacks rounding out the top 3

Blacksheep Woodland Late Model Sportsman never disappoint as they have had consistent car counts and some great Racing in 2022.
First round of practice saw the #22 car of Perry Patino fastest at 21.499. Round 2 had #21 car of Jason Furrow setting fast time at 20.904.
With the field set Chris Wagner #5 and #17 Jake Daniels led the 13 cars to green. The action was hot as plenty of great side by side racing was the theme of the night. Caution flew for contact between #05 of Nathen Davis and #5 Chris Wagner on lap 16 …Bunching the field and setting the race up for a classic 19 lap Saturday night shootout. In the End it was the #22 car Driven by Perry Patino in Front Porch Grill Victory Lane. #21 Jason Furrow finished in second and 2022 points leader Trey Grimes #51 brought it home 3rd.

The Roadrunners provide some great entertainment for MMS Fans, with an old school look and some colorful personalities they are quickly becoming a fan favorite.
The #21 od Douglas Elliott grabbed the lead and flexed his muscle for the first 8 laps. Attrition was the name of the game this week as the #12 of Josh Wilson retired his machine after just 4 laps. the starting field increased on lap 10 when the #01 of Tim Howard joined the fray. Caution flew as the motor blew on Bubba Deaton’s #55. From lap 9 Brandon Whitehead had the field covered and brought home the victory.

The Shelby concrete Street Stocks finished the night out with another 30-lap contest. Group qualifying set the field. Once again new faces and some new race cars show the strength of the Street Stock division.
The race kicked of with #26 Billy Melvin taking the lead and controlling the race pace till lap 15 when the #48 of Hunter Evans took the top spot and held it till lap 25 when #6 Charles Davis made his move after driving from the rear with a car he went home to get after wrecking his original car in the Makeup race earlier. The move was the right one as Davis brought home his first win at MMS in 2022.
