September 26, 2020 Montgomery, Alabama : The “Show me the MONEY” Series has been a proving ground for late model racers and a place for the veterans also. The FALL BRAWL 100 tilted its hand toward the younger drivers as a strong field of Pro Late models set out to bring home the hardware and take the opportunity to shake up the points battle. Due to covid-19 rescheduling some conflicts were presented to racers with multiple events going on during the same weekend.
Tennessee’s Hunter Wright #29 set Bama Budweiser Fast time at 19.525. less than .5 of a second separated the top 8. Christopher Tullis #12 was second fastest but had the luck of the redraw on his side as he would start on the pole position. Plottsboyz racing brought 2 entries as Kason was pulled from his early retirement to field a car and brother Kyle had a strong qualifying effort at 19.708. Plant City Florida racer Colin Allman #67 made the trip north in hopes of another good run. Jim Wall #91 and Hudson Halder #20 would round out the top 8.
Before the feature a tribute to Dennie Rewis #26 on the front stretch saw Jody Franklins race car re skinned and painted like one of Mr Rewis’s old cars. The car was hand lettered as Dennies original was. ( Lettering by Sammy Sanfillipo with Skidmore Signs) The Fans and Mrs. Rewis were delighted. Alabama racing pioneers were on hand with mutiple cars and supporting short track racing.

Race recap:
Two young guns, the #26 of Christopher Tullis and the #20 of Hudson Halder, lead the field to green for the Show Me The Money 100 lap race. The #26 of Tullis took the lead from the start to lead the field of Pro Late Models. The #4 of Kyle Plott hung with the two leaders and was able to take 2nd away from Halder on lap 22. Halder lost another spot to the #29 of Hunter Wright. Halder was able to keep charging and regain 3rd from Wright on lap 65 and regain 2nd from Plott on lap 79 to bring home 2nd place for his team. Justin Bonnett #12 had a strong night in only his 4th Pro Late Model race and worked his way up to a 3rd place podium finish. The #26 of Christopher Tullis gave a dominating performance and was able to lead every single lap although the #20 of Halder was there at the end as the two worked lap traffic. in the end Tullis was able to park his car in victory lane for the second time in 2020.
NOTE : The Tullis race team Donated a portion of their winnings to former track Champion Rusty Alverson #7 as funds were raised to help Rusty as he recovers from a heart attack and other Medical issues.

Race Recap:
The Outlaw Late Models are a new division that is taking hold in the southeast. The class as a Super Late Model is very strong in the Midwest. Joe Bethea #33of Deatsville, Alabama put on a dominating performance. He was able to snag the pole in qualifying and grab the point on the drop of the green flag. Bill Bethea III driving the #21 Blacksheep Woodlands entry kept his eye on the bumper of the #33 but did not have enough to grab the lead. Pensacola’s Conner Sutton #54 stretched out his legs and finished third. In the end it was the Multiple track champion Joe Bethea Jr. leading every single lap of the race and taking the checkered flag.

Race Recap:
The #45 of Mark Singleton and the #71 of Joel Collier led the field to green for 35 laps of action-packed racing. The #88 of Roger Reuse and the #7 of Justin Caton both have wins this season and were eager for another but Despite three cautions and several position changes behind him the #45 of Singleton was able to maintain his lead from flag to flag. During the race calculators were burning up as current points leader Frank “Bud” Sears rolled into the event with a 12 point lead over Roger Reuse #88 but saw that close as the laps ran down. at the end the 2 were tied at 242 with Reuse taking the top spot with 1 win and 4 top 5’5 in the tie breaker.
