March 22, 2020 Montgomery, Alabama: Amid all the government mandated shut downs and an ever changing out look for the Covid -19 virus we wanted to communicate with all our racers,crews, fans and sponsors.
Our goal is to keep all our MMS Family as safe as possible and do not want to put anyone in harms way.
We have postponed our April 4th “Spring Explosion 100” and opening night for the local divisions. this was mandated by the state last Friday to reduce contact in large gatherings.
After lengthy talks with Jim Hanks and the “Must See Racing” Sprint Car Tour. The decision was made to cancel the “Southern Shootout” scheduled for April 17th & 18th. Officials are looking at possible make up dates for the winged sprints. At this time our plan is to run Street Stocks, Late Model Sportsman, Pro 4’s and the Outlaws on April 18th. We realize this is a fluid situation and changes are happening daily.
The tentative plan is to run the Spring Explosion 100 race on April 25th with support classes TBD.
Once again we would like to thank the racers crews ,Fans and MMS team members for a great Alabama 200 event March 7th, 2020 and we are already making plans for the 57th annual Alabama 200 March 5-6 2021.
