MONTGOMERY, Ala. – On Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, Montgomery Motor Speedway hosted its Fall Brawl, which included five races in four divisions. The event featured 71-lap Blacksheep Woodlands Late Model Sportsman and Shelby Concrete Street Stock anniversary races, Twin 75-lap Show Me The Money Pro Late Model races, and a 20-lap Crown Stock race.

The first race of the night was the 71-lap Blacksheep Woodlands Late Model Sportsman event. #5 Chris Wagner led both practice sessions that afternoon, but it was the current points leader #22 Perry Patino who qualified on the pole. Patino won the previous race, so he started 6th. Wes Willis and Larry Hughes led the field to green from the front row, but Patino took the lead from Willis on lap 4. Early contact between the #00 Wes Willis and #85 Ryan Reuse caused the first caution on lap 5 and sent both drivers to the rear. After leading 67 laps, Patino parked it in Brendel Fire Victory Lane for the 4th time in 2024. “My guys just gave me a really good car, we just have so much fun doing this,” Patino said.
