Saturday July 27, 2024:Montgomery Alabama: Montgomery Motor Speedway hosted a large field of race cars for “Saturday of Speed.” The event included a 125-lap “Show Me The MONEY” pro late model feature, a 50-lap Modifieds of Mayhem Tour feature, and a 71-lap Shelby Concrete Street Stock Special Anniversary race. Unfortunately, rain moved into the area around 5 p.m. and did not move out in time to complete any racing.  Before the weather delay, it was shaping up to be a great night of racing within all three divisions at the famed ½ mile oval.

3 time Show Me The Money Champion #12 Christopher Tullis would be returning to the field after a big crash at South Alabama Speedway earlier this year, along with other familiar names like Florida’s Johanna Robbins piloting the Ronnie Sanders #18 , Indiana’s Cole Williams #46, Jett Noland #50 coming off a big win at Cordele Motor Speedway, and #29 Hunter Wright racing out of Tennessee. During Friday’s open practice, Johanna Robbins was the fastest pro late model, followed by #70 Gavin Graham and #46 Cole Williams. On Saturday, Johanna Robbins was fastest in the final practice session, but it was Jett Noland who laid down the quickest lap of the day, followed by Gavin Graham and Cole Williams.

2022’s Modified of Mayhem Champion Jaxon Bishop #2 topped the charts on Friday’s open practice followed by Dora Alabama’s Jeremy Williams and Peyton Burba From Ohio. On Saturday, Jeremy Williams was fastest in both practice sessions, followed by current points leader #131 Jeff Letson and Jaxon Bishop. Ryan Logan was the fastest in the first Shelby Concrete Street Stock practice, but ended up being 3rd quickest of the day behind the current points leader Tre Huff in first, and Brett Jean in second.

What should have been our biggest event of the summer was won by Mother nature.

Stay tuned for any schedule updates:
