Montgomery, Alabama – June 8th, 2023: The Grand National Super Series presented by Engineered Components Company was founded by Bob and Patty Simko Schacht in 2022. The series is comprised of steel body race cars typically used in previous NASCAR, ARCA, and Hooters Cup racing. Bob and Patty are both motorsports veterans themselves. Bob’s career spans more than 4 decades across several series. Bob has ran Cup, ARCA, IRA, ASA, and more. Patty Simko Schacht is a former stock car driver and is the fastest woman in stock car history. The series was designed for the competitor by the competitor. The premise of the series is simple; provide great racing at an affordable cost with a decent payout. The structure has been a success with multiple driver and owners raving about the system that works for them. The race format is twin 50- lap features at each event. The series officials are also veterans of the racing industry with Christa Bowsher as the race director. Christa is of the Midwest famed Bowsher family. With 2 driver championships as a spotter, this former dirt late model driver has more than 50 years experience. JD Bowsher serves as the series PR person as well as the go to for any other needs. JD is the granddaughter of Jack Bowsher and niece to Bobby and Todd. She recently dipped her toes back into broadcasting at Battle of the Stars held at New River All American Speedway and Lisa Wolper who was the first female hauler driver in NASCAR and ARCA is the welcoming committee at credentials. In the inaugural season A.J. Henriksen was the champion, he also secured the most pole awards. In 2023 the series In 2023 the series will hold 15 races in 3 different states. The series will travel to new venues Montgomery Motor Speedway, Dominion Raceway and Rockingham for their non points All-Star event. The series is looking to expand to more tracks in the future, and ride the wave of the steel body car excitement. The series has held four events so far with Jeremy Mayfield being the only driver to win at more than one venue.
Jeremy Mayfield, most known from his days of the NASCAR Cup Series will be in action in a house car June 17th at Montgomery Motor Speedway in the Grand National Super Series. Jeremy was and is a very talented driver with 5 NASCAR Cup Series wins, 9 pole awards, and 96 top 10 finishes in highest level of racing.
