The 2021 Montgomery Motor Speedway Awards Banquet featured the top-five drivers from the Show me the MONEY series, Modifieds of Mayhem Tour, Blacksheep Woodlands Late Model Sportsman, Shelby Concrete Street Stocks, and Pro 4’s getting recognized with trophies and other valued prizes.
The 2021 Awards Banquet took place at the Millbrook Civic Center with great catered food from the Front Porch Grill in Millbrook.
The Roadrunner division kicked the night off with 2021 Roadrunner Champion Bubba Deaton being crowned his track championship along with 2 hours of free track rental at Montgomery Motor Speedway.
The Pro 4 division highlight video by Adam Otwell rolled next as the top 3 Pro 4 cars were recognized.
3rd place – Bobby Reuse #7 with 1 win and 4 top 5 finishes
2nd place – Eddie Dodd #81 with 3 wins and 4 top 5 finishes
Pro 4 Champion – Cliff Willcutt IV #21 with 7 top 5 finishes on the season in 7 races.
Cliff Willcutt IV also took home the 2021 Montgomery Motor Speedway Rookie of the Year Award
The Blacksheep Woodlands Late Model Sportsman division featured 29 different drivers this year and has continued to be one of the most competitive local divisions around.
5th place – Dave Mader III #18 with 3 wins and 4 top 5 finishes
4th place – Ryan Reuse #89 with 3 top 5 finishes
3rd place – Bill Bethea #20 with 1 win and 6 top 5 finishes
2nd place – Marty Catrett #99 with 4 top 5 finishes
Blacksheep Woodlands Late Model Sportsman Champion – Cody McCawley #62 with 2 wins and 8 top 5 finishes
The Shelby Concrete Street Stocks have continued to grow tremendously the past few years, molding into one of the best local divisons there is. 31 different drivers competed in the Shelby Concrete Street Stocks this year.
5th place – Charles Davis #6 with 3 wins and 7 top 5’s
4th place – Keith Grace #81 with 1 top 5 finish
3rd place – Daniel Jacks #1 with 6 top 5’s
2nd place – Trey Grimes #51 with 4 wins and 7 top 5’s
Shelby Concrete Street Stocks Champion – Kameron Wesenburg #32 with 9 top 5 finishes in 11 races
The Modifieds of Mayhem Tour traveled to 4 different tracks in 2021, Montgomery Motor Speedway, Five Flags Speedway, Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, and Crisp Motorsports Park featuring 7 total races. The series welcomed 71 different drivers in 2021 for the biggest Modifieds of Mayhem Tour season to date. The Modifieds of Mayhem Tour saw 5 different winners in victory lane in 7 races. Bill Burba, Augie Grill, Johnny Walker, Cody Stickler, and Casey Smith all found Victory Lane in 2021.
5th place – Larry Hughes #88 with 1 top 5
5th place – Cody Stickler #99 with 2 wins and 4 top 5’s
4th place – Johnny Walker #72 1 win and 1 top 5
3rd place – Augie Grill #112 with 2 wins and 6 top 5’s
2nd place – Kevin Peel #18 with 3 top 5’s
Modifieds of Mayhem Champion – Bill Burba #26 with 2 wins and 5 top 5 finishes
The Show me the MONEY Pro Late Model series showed a huge driver turnout in 2021 as well featuring 53 of the countries best short track drivers. The series featured 3 different winners, Alabama 200 winner Christopher Tullis, Jake Garcia, and Jett Noland.
5th place – Chase Spradlin #89
4th place – John Bolen #2 with 3 top 5’s
3rd place – Jake Garcia #35 with 3 wins and 5 top 5’s
2nd place – Augie Grill #112 with 5 top 5’s
Show me the MONEY PLM Champion – Christopher Tullis #12 with 4 wins and 6 top 5 finishes. 2021 Alabama 200 winner
