Street Stocks
The Street Stock division has continually grown into some of the best local short track divisions around, and they did not disappoint with a good field of Street Stocks. The Street Stocks return for Twin 50-lap features in just two weeks for “Bring Dad to the Races” night here at Montgomery Motor Speedway. Contact us for more info about that race.
A good field of Street Stocks took to the track for a group qualifying session, as Kameron Wesenburg #32 put up the best time, followed by Trey Grimes #51, J.C. Cleckler #5, Charles Davis #6, and Davey Lynn #80. Kameron Wesenburg #32 has been a strong car throughout this season, and he picked up right where he left off, jumping out to a lead on lap 1, before a caution displayed for a spin on lap 2. After multiple incidents under the caution laps, that resulted in a black flag for the #6 car of Charles Davis, things got back rolling, and it was once again Wesenburg #32 jumping out to the lead again. After leading a lap, J.C. Cleckler #5 made the pass on Wesenburg #32and led until the second caution come out on lap 11, as J.C. Cleckler#5 spun due to oil on the track. As Cleckler #5 led the field back to green, Trey Grimes #51 makes the pass on him to take control of the lead, after fighting up through the field. Trey Grimes #51 won the last time the street stocks saw the track, and has been dominant this season. Grimes #51 held off J.C. Cleckler #5 for the win. Kameron Wesenburg #32 rounded out the top 3. Keith Grace #81 and Davey Lynn #80 rounded out the top five.
