September 8, 2020 Montgomery, Alabama : The Racing world lost a great competitor this weekend. Long time competitor and Montgomery regular Dennie Rewis #26 passed away September, 4 2020. Dennie’s Wife Lois Rewis has been a long time employee of the track. Dennie had a passion for racing as much as anyone in racing. he was a hard worker in the sport and his day job as a heavy equipment operator. He also loved his numerous pets.
- In 1974 he was one of 2 winners in the Twin 50’s at South Alabama Speedway for the rattler weekend.
- Rewis #26 competed in 6 Snowball Derby s at 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola Florida with 1 top 5 and 2 top 10’s
- in 1985 Rewis was 8th in the NASCAR Weekly series for the Southeast region. Dennie had 26 Starts 1 win 8 top 5’s and 22 top 10’s

Visitation this evening from 5-7 at Leak Memorial Funeral home at 945 Lincoln Road Montgomery, Alabama
Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 11am in the Chapel
A reception will follow the service for Family and friends.
