Jeff Letson #131 Fast Time Award

Posting a time of 20.229 was Augie grill #112. Third fastest was Barry Martin #68 20.298 with Zach Knowles #51 and Jim Wall #91 rounding out the top 5. The redraw saw the #112 Grill and #8 Hamrac on the front row. The excitement was all over the track as battles for position were every where. Hamrac #8 kept Grill #112 in his sights and had closed the gap when caution fell on lap 38. On the restart contact between the #131 of Letson and #8 of Hamrac found the 2 cars locked together coming down the front stretch. All drivers did a great job of dodging each other as the field scattered. The 2 cars did separate before turn 1 and all went back to racing. In the end it was Augie Grill #112 in his BMF Sponsored car in victory lane followed by 2018 Modifieds of Mayhem Champion Zach Knowles followed in 3rd by Justin Bonnett #12 currently second in Tour points and leading the Sunoco Rookie of the year Points.

Mother Nature has been a tough competitor in the 2019 race season and Saturday night was no different. After only a 20% forecast we ran most of the features under a threat of weather. The Blacksheep Woodland Late model sportsman were the last feature of the evening. A decision earlier in the evening to cut the laps to 40 worked out as the race was stopped at lap 21 due to weather. At that point most drivers were on the edge of grip and the decision was made to call it an official race with Dave Mader #18m taking home the trophy.
