May 28, 2019 Montgomery, Alabama: Twins, wins, T-Shirts and some good old fashion spectator racing made for a great night at Montgomery Motor Speedway. From the $5 admission to the School bus race the fans got their monies worth.
Budweiser Qualifying was first up in street stocks. The field was close but it was Trey Grimes setting a time of 23.18 followed by J.C. Cleckler #5 with a time of 23.20. Charles Davis was 3rd at 23.32.
Fast time for the BlackSheep Woodlands Late Model Sportsman was set by Perry Patino 21.373.
In the first Late Model Sportsman feature Aidan Eldridge in the 8x took the lead early and ran a very good line to protect his lead for 17 laps. Lap 18 saw a nudge and bump from Patino #51 to grab the lead and the win

A good field of street stocks hit the track for the 30 lap event. Current points leader J.C.Cleckler took the point and set sail leading the first 16 laps. Charles Davis #6 worked his way from the 6th starting spot and was on a mission to the front. Trey Grimes #51 was back in his 2018 championship car and was a threat all evening. The other #51 in the field Billy Joe Austin showed his speed coming through the field after an incident sent him to the back of the field. At the Checkers it was Charles Davis in victory lane. Davis dedicated this win to his Injured crew chief Carl Jacks in an emotional speech.

In the Roadrunner division #01 Tim Peters scored his first victory at MMS and celebrated his win and his birthday at Montgomery Motor Speedway.

The Haynes Ambulance School Bus race was a crowd pleaser with fill-in driver John Midkiff piloting the #3 bus. In the end the #3 was DQ and victory went to the Yellow Bus …
Spectator Racing finished up the evening …. Fans watched as J.C. Cleckler drove his blue truck to victory.
