May 20, 2019, Montgomery Alabama: When we head to the track we know that we compete in a dangerous sport and it is accepted that injuries may happen. This past Saturday night Carl Jacks, the crew chief for the #6 street stock(Also the #1 of Daniel Jacks) and has been a giant supporter of short track racing was injured in a freak accident when the team was unloading for an event at South Alabama Speedway. Please keep Carl and his family in your prayers

The following is a post from Charles and Sharon Davis from Facebook>>>>>>>>>>

Saturday May 18, 2019 race day:

Everything started out wonderful. We got to the track, it was a nice day . So the team unload the car and Charles went to get the pit box out, Carl went to set up the platform and secure the ladder . The ladder started to slip and Charles heard the ladder fall.  Carl he had fallen on his head onto the concrete. And the next thing we heard people were hollering he had fallen. Charles got to him and he was unconscious there was a paramedic on scene within seconds . The ambulance arrived and took him to the closest place for life flight to pick him up .(Thanks Haynes Life Flight) The life flight took him to South East Hospital in Dothan. So today is May 20th he has a slight brain bleed and swelling on his brain, 4 broken ribs in his back, stitches behind his right ear and cuts and abrasions throughout his body. As of now we may be in the hospital for a week with a long recovery road ahead . We ask you to find it in your hearts to help a wonderful hard working man that would help anyone he could to please help him in his time of need. Whether it be a dollar…… anything will be appreciated We are a hard working racing family who believe that God will see us through .
