June 18, 2017 Montgomery AL: Montgomery Motor Speedway management would like to thank all the fans, racers and staff for their understanding Saturday night. All weather reports indicated the night would be clear and we wouldn’t have any weather issues. At 8:25 Mother Nature took over and a pop up shower hit the track. After drying the track drivers were sent to their cars only to have a heavier shower arrive. The decision was made to call the race and look at the possibility of racing on Sunday. Due to the fact that Sunday was Father’s Day and the available window was so small with rain in the forecast for Sunday, The decision was made to cancel the Pro Late model portion of the show. Pro Late models will be back in action July 15th for our next Show me the Money event.
2 of the 3 races for the night were completed and that would normally constitute a complete event night. The track management has decided to honor those grandstand tickets at our next event July 1st. Please present your ticket stub at the grandstand ticket booth and enjoy the “Rumble by the River 125” presented by Larry Puckett Chevrolet featuring the Southern Super Series, Modifieds of Mayhem tour and the Late Model Sportsman Powered by WCI Parts.com. the night will end with an Independence weekend fireworks show.
The track will hold an open practice Friday night for all divisions with gates opening at 5 and practice from 6-9
Saturday July 1st pit gates will open at 11am. Grandstands will open at 5 Budweiser qualifying at 6 and features will start at 7.
