“Show me the Money” Round 2

4-25-16 Montgomery, Al: A strong field of Pro Late Model Drivers are expected for round 2 of the “Show me the Money series this Saturday April 30th for twin 50 lap events. It was announced at the first event that a Championship ring would be awarded at the end of the 2016 season. Many drivers have expressed the desire to accept the custom ring at the 2016 annual awards dinner held the second week of November.

Pro late model racing seems to have caught fire in 2016 with 36 cars showing up for the first “Show me the Money” event held on March 12th. Augie Grill #112 brought home the checkers for the R.S. Trucking “Spring Explosion” and is always a crowd favorite at the historic speedway. Columbia Tennesee driver and 2 time Daytona 500 winner sterling Marlin will return after a disappointing race in March. “We just got caught up with a lapped car and ended up in the Fence” Stated the veteran driver ” We will be prepared for the Twins this Saturday”. Other drivers to keep an eye on are the young gun from Jasper Georgia #26 Chandler Smith. Smith was the youngest pole sitter in the pro Late models in Montgomery Motor Speedway history when he bested a field of 26 cars during the Saturday of SPEED in August 2015. Interstate I-85 will be busy as quite a few Georgia drivers will be headed to the Home of the “Alabama gang” with Christopher Tullis #24,2015 Rookie of the year Luke Christain #2 and Dalton Grindle #23 all setting their eyes on the championship ring. Alabama will be represented with some local talent as multiple track champion Joe Bethea jr, Jason Furrow #21,Bobby Knox Jr., Bill Bethea III, Justin South #43, Dennis Reno Jr, Perry Patino and last years “Show me the Money Champion #2h Bret Holmes all have rides prepared for this weekend.

Come on out this Saturday night as the “Show ,me the Money” Pro late Models Presented by Blacksheep Woodlands battle in twin 50 lap events. The night will be full of action as the Interstate Batteries :Late Model Sportsman will race for 35 laps, Street stocks for 30 laps and the modified Minis 20 laps.

Tickets are $15 For Adults $10 for seniors and Military $5 kids 6-12… 5 and under are always Free Gates open at 5 Budweiser qualifying at 6 and racing at 7
