1. How did you get into racing?
TR: I was racing RZRs when a now close friend asked if I’d ever driven a stock car.
2. What would you be doing if you were not driving a race car?
TR: Racing dirt bikes.
3. People who have inspired you the most while you have raced?
TR: Billy Melvin and my great uncle Charlie Roberts.
4. What is the biggest obstacle you are facing in your quest to succeed in racing?
TR: Changing classes too much, but I’ve found the right one in the new mod series!
5. What driver are you a fan of?
TR: Ryan Newman.
6. Out of all the race cars you have driven, which one was your favorite and why?
TR: Definitely the truck because I won my first race in it.
7. Pick one : CD player, I pod, 8-Track or Record player, and who do you listen to?
TR: iPod- Kid Rock/P.O.D.
8. What have you been doing during the off season?
TR: Trying to get the modified ready for the season!
9. Is there any other type of race car that you’d like to drive that you haven’t yet?
TR: Outlaw Late Model.
10. Your best and worst moment in racing?
TR: Best was winning at Gresham, worst was wrecking my open sportsman into the fence at Montgomery on the third lap I’d ever sat in the car.
11. Any local legends that you admired while coming up in Short Track Racing?
TR: Bill F Melvin and Rodney Benefield.
12. What motivates you to be the best in your racing division?
TR: Beating my crew chief Mr Billy.
13. Favorite smell at the track : race gas or burning rubber?
TR: race gas.
14. What’s the funniest thing you have ever seen on the race track?
TR: I once saw a late model driver forget to take off his air when getting out of the car and it pulled him back to the ground.
15. What local driver do you have the most respect for and why?
TR: Augie Grill because he loves what he does and does it at the top level.
16. Do you have another sport you enjoy to watch or participate in?
TR: Motocross, raced since I was 4.
17. What’s more important … racing for points or racing for the win?
TR: Always the win.
18. Your favorite track and why?
TR: Gresham, first win and most laps there.
19. Which describes you best : calculating driver or kamikaze driver?
TR: Depends what my spotter Charlie is telling me.
20. Last Lap, you’re in a side by side dash for the win… who would you want to beat and why?
TR: Billy Melvin because I know when that happens, I am ready to move up.
