1. How did you get into racing?

CF: My dad and his friend owned a street stock car and my uncle built the motor, well their driver decided he wanted to chicken fight instead of race. so they put me in the car, i was hooked.

2. What would you be doing if you were not driving a race car?

CF: Probably in jail for something stupid, racing is my drug of choice.

3. People who have inspired you the most while you have raced?

CF: My Uncle above all others, he taught me how to compete at a high level. Also doubters, tell me i cant and i will show you i can.

4. What is the biggest obstacle you are facing in your quest to succeed in racing?

CF: Laziness to be successful you have to out work your competitor. Its a grind, I have done it.

5. What driver are you a fan of?

CF: Scott Bloomquist, builds his own winning cars and dominates.

6. Out of all the race cars you have driven, which one was your favorite and why?

CF: Mini Mod, no horsepower to speak of requiring the discipline to keep the momentum up. That’s why i returned in 2014 to mini mod.

7. Pick one : CD player, I pod, 8-Track or Record player, and who do you listen to?

CF: Ipod, i like new gadgets. Bluegrass music, the original speed music

8. What have you been doing during the off season?

CF: Eating, no seriously its all i have done. I have been lazy, time to get to turning wrenches.

9. Is there any other type of race car that you’d like to drive that you haven’t yet?

CF: SUPER Late Model i just want to feel the power and speed.

10. Your best and worst moment in racing?

CF: Best Moment: winning double features at MMS years ago i set quick time, won the first race going away, started the rear in the second race and had the lead on lap two. Worst: Being turned into the wall at BIR and flipping down the back straight, lost a great car.

11. Any local legends that you admired while coming up in Short Track Racing?

CF: Johnny Day, growing up watching him race cars with lesser equipment and win was really cool.

12. What motivates you to be the best in your racing division?

CF: The drive to be first, does not matter if we are playing marbles or racing cars i want to win.
Second sucks!

13. Favorite smell at the track : race gas or burning rubber?

CF: Race gas, hearing a big engine ping and smelling it gives me chills.

14. What’s the funniest thing you have ever seen on the race track?

CF: A driver jumping up and down on another drivers hood, they were brother in laws too.

15. What local driver do you have the most respect for and why?

CF: Chase Spradlin, always drives clean and never cry’s about others cars.

16. Do you have another sport you enjoy to watch or participate in?

CF: Football and Baseball to watch, I like to play Softball.

17. What’s more important … racing for points or racing for the win?

CF: The win, points take the fun out of racing by requiring you to be there every race.

18. Your favorite track and why?

CF: MMS now that Huntsville is closed. I like the clean modern aspects of the place and the SPEED.

19. Which describes you best : calculating driver or kamikaze driver?

CF: Kamikaze, bull in a china shop

20. Last Lap, you’re in a side by side dash for the win… who would you want to beat and why?

CF: Chase Spradlin, I have never just beat him, we didn’t race much against each other. When he first started I was established already and by the time he honed his skills i had moved on. Now I am back and i want to beat him.
