1. How did you get into racing?
BR: I grew up in it as my father was involved as far back as I can remember.
2. What would you be doing if you were not driving a race car?
BR: Traveling
3. People who have inspired you the most while you have raced?
BR: Bobby Allison, Bobby Hillin Jr. Norm Benning
4. What is the biggest obstacle you are facing in your quest to succeed in racing?
BR: My Age and lack of time to race more during the year
5. What driver are you a fan of?
BR: Kurt and Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Shelby Reuse and Roger Reuse
6. Out of all the race cars you have driven, which one was your favorite and why?
BR: I would have to say Rocket, my current car because I finally feel like I am not going to be beat on equipment. It is now all on me to perform. This is the best Late Model car I have ever competed with.
7. Pick one : CD player, I pod, 8-Track or Record player, and who do you listen to?
BR: CD Player
8. What have you been doing during the off season?
BR: Traveling and working. Mostly Working.
9. Is there any other type of race car that you’d like to drive that you haven’t yet?
BR: A Grand-AM Cup car in the 24 hours or an ARCA car at Talladega.
10. Your best and worst moment in racing?
BR: Winning the 2013 Open Sportsman Championship and my worst was hitting the wall head on at BIR in 97 in a Pinto. My knee still hurts when it is about to rain.
11. Any local legends that you admired while coming up in Short Track Racing?
BR: Hut Stricklin and Jackie Collier.
12. What motivates you to be the best in your racing division?
BR: I want a top three in PLM before I hang up my helmet.
13. Favorite smell at the track : race gas or burning rubber?
BR: Of those two burning rubber but my drug of choice would be exhaust fumes.
14. What’s the funniest thing you have ever seen on the race track?
BR: I was always partial to the All Pro Bull with his little yellow car on the front straight away. He would get out of it while it was driving, but as for racing it has to be the Grey Ghost Bomber car at BIR hitting the wall, riding up it and getting completely over on the driver’s side. Then falling back on all fours hitting the gas and finishing the race, in third I think.
15. What local driver do you have the most respect for and why?
BR: Perry Patino. He is young but very talented, very polite and I hope has a long future in racing (he is being raised right and I respect his entire family for that).
16. Do you have another sport you enjoy to watch or participate in?
BR: College Football
17. What’s more important … racing for points or racing for the win?
BR: Now that I have won a championship, the Win.
18. Your favorite track and why?
BR: Daytona road course, but I am really enjoying the racing at Montgomery and it is considered my local track. I cannot wait for the season to start.
19. Which describes you best : calculating driver or kamikaze driver?
BR: Calculating. I hate wrecking.
20. Last Lap, you’re in a side by side dash for the win… who would you want to beat and why?
BR: Augie Grill, because to be the best you have to beat the best.
I love all these guys and the Awesome support that they provide for our race team.
