1. How did you get into racing?
JB: When I was younger my Dad was involved In an ARCA team, I enjoyed going to the races and shop then before I knew it there was a go kart in the floor and it just went from there.
2. What would you be doing if you were not driving a race car?
JB: I love racing in general and go with other people when I’m not racing myself.
3. People who have inspired you the most while you have raced?
JB: I’ve been fortunate to have had some really good people work with me over the years. David ray and both Frankie and Augie grill really taught me a lot when I started driving there cars.
4. What is the biggest obstacle you are facing in your quest to succeed in racing?
JB: For the last few years it has been seat time. I haven’t gotten to race as much as in the past and that makes it hard to beat people who are racing weekly.
5. What driver are you a fan of?
JB: I’ve been a Jeff Gordon fan since day one.
6. Out of all the race cars you have driven, which one was your favorite and why?
JB: Super Late Models are my favorite. They are just really fast, very competitive fields of cars and just an all around fun car to drive.
7. Pick one : CD player, I pod, 8-Track or Record player, and who do you listen to?
JB: IPod for sure, I listen to mainly country but throw in some classic rock and rap to change it up.
8. What have you been doing during the off season?
JB: It’s been a busy off season for me, between our growing game business, getting my own cars ready for this year and getting everything ready for a new driver I’ll be taking care of this season.
9. Is there any other type of race car that you’d like to drive that you haven’t yet?
JB: A Dirt Super Late Model seems like it would be fun to drive.
10. Your best and worst moment in racing?
JB: I would say leading the Snowball and being in contention to win sticks out to me. The worst would either be ending up deep in the trees at Mobile or walking away from a burning destroyed car at Montgomery.
11. Any local legends that you admired while coming up in Short Track Racing?
JB: He wasn’t much older than me but Charlie Bradberry really set the bar high in the short track world.
12. What motivates you to be the best in your racing division?
JB: I’m super competitive so getting beat motivates you to work even harder.
13. Favorite smell at the track : race gas or burning rubber?
JB: burning rubber
14. What’s the funniest thing you have ever seen on the race track?
JB: At BIR once a guy running from the cops jumps the wall and starts running down pit road.
15. What local driver do you have the most respect for and why?
JB: Me and JustinSouth go way back. We have raced together all the way up from bandoleros. We have leaned on each other hard but he’s always been fun to race with.
16. Do you have another sport you enjoy to watch or participate in?
JB: Racing takes up most of my time but I do like to golf even though I’m not that great. College football is always good, Roll Tide.
17. What’s more important … racing for points or racing for the win?
JB: Racing for the win, you can’t win the points if aren’t winning races.
18. Your favorite track and why?
JB: Montgomery has really clicked well with me over the years. BIR was my favorite but is long gone.
19. Which describes you best : calculating driver or kamikaze driver?
JB: Over the years I’ve grown more from a kamikaze into a calculating driver.
20. Last Lap, you’re in a side by side dash for the win… who would you want to beat and why?
JB: Augie and because when it comes to times like that you want to beat the best in the toughest situations.
