1. How did you get into racing?
SR: Fortunately, I was born into a family full of racing. My mother and father both grew up at Birmingham International Raceway. My dad working with his father, Clayton Reuse, on his race car and later on, running his own car. My mother, working at the track with her parents for Rocco and Cheaters Speed Shop and eventually getting behind the wheel herself. I had always dreamed of getting in a race car, luckily my dad, Bobby Reuse, has given me that opportunity.
2. What would you be doing if you were not driving a race car?
SR: When I am not spending time at the track on a Saturday, I can be found on the water somewhere, in a boat.
3. People who have inspired you the most while you have raced?
SR: My mom and dad. They have both always stood behind me in racing and have been there to help me when I have questions about the car and what changes I should make as a driver.
4. What is the biggest obstacle you are facing in your quest to succeed in racing?
SR: The lack of knowledge about the car and being able to make adjustments myself.
5. What driver are you a fan of?
SR:Ronnie Johnson. In racing, money is a huge advantage and Ronnie has always come out on top with just pure talent.
6. Out of all the race cars you have driven, which one was your favorite and why?
SR: Porter. Though i have only driven two, Porter (Port City chassis) would have to be my favorite.
7. Pick one : CD player, I pod, 8-Track or Record player, and who do you listen to?
SR: If I had to choose, I would say iPod. I enjoy listening to Eric Church, Kenny Chesney and Corey Smith.
8. What have you been doing during the off season?
SR: School… school and…….school!
9. Is there any other type of race car that you’d like to drive that you haven’t yet?
SR:I would LOVE to drive a dirt late model.
10. Your best and worst moment in racing?
SR: Best: my first race. Worst: almost all of the 2014 season. We had a few mishaps with the car this past season.
11. Any local legends that you admired while coming up in Short Track Racing?
SR: Davey Allison. Though i do not remember meeting him, I have enjoyed watching videos of his racing style and career over the years.
12. What motivates you to be the best in your racing division?
SR: Being the only girl in my division and hoping to beat those guys this season!
13. Favorite smell at the track : race gas or burning rubber?
SR: Racing Fuel
14. What’s the funniest thing you have ever seen on the race track?
SR: Probably any Street Stock race i have ever watched. Those guys are a family off of the track but when it comes to victory lane, they will do just abut anything!
15. What local driver do you have the most respect for and why?
SR: Hands down, little Patino. He is an amazing driver behind the wheel and as he has shown at the most recent Derby, he can drive just about anything!
16. Do you have another sport you enjoy to watch or participate in?
SR: I’m a big college football fan. GO DAWGS!
17. What’s more important … racing for points or racing for the win?
SR: A win for sure, but racing for points is nice too!
18. Your favorite track and why?
SR: Montgomery. I have driven at another track but Montgomery is at the top of my list!
19. Which describes you best : calculating driver or kamikaze driver?
SR: Calculating Driver
20. Last Lap, you’re in a side by side dash for the win… who would you want to beat and why?
SR: My Dad!
