1. How did you get into racing?

BE: I have been a fan since I was little and always thought I could do it but just couldn’t afford it or find the needed help to get started. I finally just decided to jump in and it’s the most fun ive ever had and I have met some great people through racing.

2. What would you be doing if you were not driving a race car?

BE: Probably still be involved fishing bass tournaments

3. People who have inspired you the most while you have raced?

BE: I would say Charles Davis and Joe Bethea I have been a big Charles Davis fan for years and Joe Bethea is my teammate and has taught me a ton! Joe has a very competitive streak and refuses to lose even when his car may not be handling as well as it should!

4. What is the biggest obstacle you are facing in your quest to succeed in racing?

BE: My biggest issue at this point is seat time and learning how to get my car like it needs to be for the whole race not just being fast qualifying.

5. What driver are you a fan of?

BE: I am a big fan of Joe Bethea and Charles Davis and I grew up a fan of Duwayne Middlebrooks.

6. Out of all the race cars you have driven, which one was your favorite and why?

BE: This limited late model is my favorite trying to control massive horsepower on an 8 inch hard tire is pretty fun!

7. Pick one : CD player, I pod, 8-Track or Record player, and who do you listen to?

BE: CD player don’t own the others and country music is my favorite especially Jamey Johnson.

8. What have you been doing during the off season?

BE: Working extremely hard on race cars trying to prepare for this season . Also prepping and painting our hauler with the help of Phillip Cook.

9. Is there any other type of race car that you’d like to drive that you haven’t yet?

BE: I would love to drive a pro late model just to feel the difference a 10 inch soft tire makes compares to running the 8 inch 890.

10. Your best and worst moment in racing?

BE: I don’t really have a best moment other than I felt like I got a little better every race last year. My worst moment was running very well in my first race in second place and the leader Dewayne Wesenberg spun in front of me and I t-boned him destroying the front of the car but we fixed it and moved on.

11. Any local legends that you admired while coming up in Short Track Racing?

BE: Red Farmer

12. What motivates you to be the best in your racing division?

BE: I am a very competitive person and hate losing, I am my own worst enemy lol

13. Favorite smell at the track : race gas or burning rubber?

BE: Race gas for sure!

14. What’s the funniest thing you have ever seen on the race track?

BE: I would have to say the funniest thing to me would be all the lying and trash talking before a race!

15. What local driver do you have the most respect for and why?

BE: I would say Charles Davis because I have followed him for a longtime and he would give you the shirt off his back to help you if needed but when its race time he is the last one I would want to see in my rear view!

16. Do you have another sport you enjoy to watch or participate in?

BE: I really enjoy tournament fishing but since I started racing I have not done it much because ive become so consumed with getting better racing.

17. What’s more important … racing for points or racing for the win?

BE: Racing for the win most definitely if you win you get maximum points!

18. Your favorite track and why?

BE: MMS is the only one I have raced but I would love to try Pensacola!

19. Which describes you best : calculating driver or kamikaze driver?

BE: Definitely calculating until something goes wrong then the switch flips to kamikaze!

20. Last Lap, you’re in a side by side dash for the win… who would you want to beat and why?

BE: I don’t really have a rival yet since I’m going to a new class but I would have to say Jason Furrow since he is a friend and we would drive each other clean!

I would like to thank most of all Phillip Cook, Denis Reno ,Jeremy Baker and Joe Bethea and my son Tristen for all of the help they have given me this off season they have been there lots of hours during the off season when everybody else doesn’t see! I would also like to thank my wife Jennifer and Kayla Cook for there support and not letting us go hungry on those long nights in the race shop! Also would like to thank Jason Mayhan for being the best parts guy on the planet and taking the time to come up with this idea and keeping up the MMS website! Looking forward to a great 2015 season cant wait!
