Pro Late Model racing is back in a big way at the historic speedway in 2015. In 2009 the “Show me the Money” series was introduced as a non-touring Pro Late Model series competing exclusively at Montgomery Motor Speedway and saw big fields of cars and some of the top racers in the southeast. The series began as a four race compilation of 100 lap events, with Houston, Texas’ Jason Young winning the first event on May 16, 2009. Augie Grill, of Hayden, Alabama was the inaugural champion. The series moved to 125 lap events in 2010 and saw Jasper, Alabama’s John Bolen crowned as champion. 2015 will see a return of the name and a renewed emphasis on the Pro Late Model division for the tracks 62nd year in existence. 5 event dates, 7 races have been announced with a variety of formats to keep the racers on their toes.
The 2015 season kicks off March 28th with the 4 Star Freightliner opening night twin 50’s. Both races will be run on the same 4 F-45 Hoosier tires and will pay $2000 to each winner. April 25th the Pro late models will compete for 125 laps in the RS Trucking Spring Explosion. The Spring Explosion and all 100 lap races will pay $4000 to win and be 4 tire races. The excitement continues on May 23rd as Blacksheep Woodlands presents the “Night of Destruction” featuring the Pro Late Models competing for 100 laps. July 18th fans will witness the return of the twin 50’s. The “Show me the Money” series concludes on August 15th for the Saturday of Speed 100.
2015 “Show me the Money” series featuring 5 dates and 7 races and will provide both the fans and the racers the opportunity for exciting action at one of the finest facilities in the Deep South.
